To create a safe and welcoming space for anyone, anywhere, at any level to learn about NFTs and web3. Above all else, we want students to learn, have fun, and grow together.
We have taken considerable time to think about and write down our beliefs, values, and mission here at ZenAcademy. We're thoughtful in how we conduct ourselves and with what we hope to achieve with our platform. Please read through the next few sections to get a greater understanding of who we are and what we stand for.
In a nutshell though: we are not an alpha group, we are not here to help you get rich quick, we don't deal in hype tactics or fanciful speculation. We are here to help educate and inform and spread information based on logic and facts. More than anything, we are here for you.
Not really a roadmap...
I cannot stress this enough - there is no roadmap. I know almost every project has a roadmap, but to be honest, I kinda hate them. I’m very purposefully not having a roadmap for this project. Instead of a roadmap, I'll tell you why I don’t like roadmaps.
With a roadmap you have to plan months in advance, sometimes years. The NFT space moves at hyperspeed and we have no idea what the landscape is going to look like three months from now, let alone three years from now. I don’t want to promise things in a roadmap and then feel obligated to fulfill them. I’d rather make it up as I go along. Change with the wind, etc. This allows me to move with the market and with what is best for the holders of my NFT and not get caught in the trap of working on something for three months only for it to be outdated by the time it’s launched.
Also - I am just generally not promising a lot. I have some thoughts and ideas for interesting things I can do in the future, and hopefully I can find ways to create and bring future value to holders of these NFTs - but maybe I can’t. Oh here’s a fun thought too - so much of the value of this NFT is tied to me personally - if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, chances are the value is gonna plummet, and all that will be mapped is me on the road LOL (too morbid?!) sorry mum.
No but seriously - if you buy either of these NFTs, you are paying for better access to me and my thoughts. That’s sorta the only thing of value I have to offer. My time, my connections, my knowledge. I’m not a developer, I’m not an artist, I’m not a game designer. I just like to think about NFTs a lot, and occasionally write and say what are hopefully smart things.
So if you buy one of my NFTs, here’s what I can promise: I will try and do good things and be a good person and hopefully provide enough value to justify the sale price. I’m hyper cognizant of the price for the higher tier, and the amount of money I will be raising if it sells out. It’s genuinely anxiety inducing to think about getting that much money in one go, and figuring out how to responsibly spend it. Yeah I know, the world’s tiniest violin is playing for me. I really am giving it a lot of thought, though.
One last thing I can probably promise - I will continue to be transparent and open about my motives and thoughts, and this will probably mean many long messages and posts like this one in the future :) Apologies in advance for all the walls of text you’re going to get from me going forward.

When I created ZenAcademy I had no roadmap. No giant plans for how to conquer the world; no plans at all really. Instead I had feelings and desires. I felt like our space could use a community focused on sensible education. One where logic and reason reigned supreme amidst a sea of hype, FOMO, and wild speculation.
More than anything, I wanted to create a cozy little home in the metaverse where anyone, but especially those newer to the space, could enjoy a warm and welcoming environment and feel comfortable asking any questions they might have about the space.
The learning curve for web3 and NFTs is steep and it is never-ending. ZenAcademy exists to soften that learning curve and ensure anyone, anywhere, at any level, has a place to learn.

Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will ZenAcademy. We are looking to build something sustainable and bring value to our entire community without rushing to “launch” or “release”. We have a big vision for what the future will be, but we don’t want to over-promise and deliver something we aren’t 100% proud of. In a space where hyping, over-promising, and grand gestures clog up our timelines, we want to surprise and delight.

ZenAcademy NFTs and Discord role types
Various NFTs within the ZenAcademy Ecosystem provide varying degrees of access and utility.
The ZenAcademy Genesis Letter and the 333 Club token are the initial NFTs. These tokens can be upgraded from ERC1155 to ERC721, which provides some technical advantages.
The ZenAcademy Genesis Letter can be upgraded to a ZenChest, and the 333 Token can be upgraded to The 333 Club Token, which allows members to claim three ZenChests.
These ZenChests contain PFPs from our Denizen PFP collection and can be burned for a PFP.
All NFTs provide access to our Discord server as well as the additional benefits detailed in the "Token-holder Utility" section.
Since we stand for creating a safe place for anyone at any stage on their Web3 journey, and to be as inclusive as possible, we created the Student IDs.
More on what you can expect
The idea for The 333 Club came about due to the fact that I was (and still am) receiving an overwhelming number of inbound requests from people / projects asking for my advisory and/or consulting services. Realistically, I wouldn't have the capacity to be a team member and official advisor for more than 2-3 projects at any given time, so I decided to experiment with a hybrid model.
I make some office-hours each week in my calendar available to anyone holding a 333 Club Token to book meetings with me to discuss, well, anything really -- but most people that book calls are those launching projects and looking to get some input from me on their plans and strategy.
Holistic Education
We get it, most of us came here because of money. It’s okay to admit. But our sole focus isn’t on profits, mooning, alpha, or getting rich. We want everyone to find financial independence and reach their goals, but in a way that won’t lead them to lose themselves in the process. NFTs aren’t just about making money, they're about finding art you love or connect with, finding like-minded individuals to spend time with, and fostering a community that adds value to your life.
Infinite Regret = Infinite Opportunities
Nobody can know for sure what projects will succeed. Nobody can know whether a project that has 10x’d will then go on to 100x, or whether it might crash to 0. The best we can do is make educated guesses, over and over and over again. And learn from it. The key is patience. There is never going to be a shortage of opportunities in this space, or in life.
Teach People to Fish
We are here to be a guide. We don’t have a blueprint to success, but we can share knowledge, inspire others and support people in their personal goals, financial and otherwise. We are not an alpha group where we will shill projects we don’t believe in, but we do provide a space for people to share knowledge on upcoming collaborations, exciting news, etc. We don’t deny that “alpha” has its place in the web3 ecosystem, but that is not the primary purpose of what we’re building now, or ever.
Importantly, I hoped that by creating a small community of passionate and dedicated builders in the space, there would be a network effect whereby community members could learn from one another. Indeed, this is the type of community that we now have.
The 333 Club is a living organism and life long experiment. What worked for the first six months might not work for the next six, and I (and we) are always looking for ways to improve our lives and add value to the club.
The nature of the smaller community size means that conversations are more intimate and the nature of the high mint price (and secondary market price) tends to mean that the community self-selects for those with a more serious desire to grow and build in the web3 / NFT space.
Just like with ZenAcademy, there is no roadmap for The 333 Club. I have some ideas and plans for how we might continue to flourish as time goes on, but I am of the belief that direction is more important than speed, and that as we strengthen the ties that bind us together, we as a community will be able to accomplish tremendous things.

The path ahead over the next few months (and decades) involves upgrading our technology, onboarding more community members, launching a PFP collection, and building for the future.
We believe that transparency in NFTs is critical to building trust. This trust is critical for the space to continue to grow and mature, and we believe that projects and founding teams have a responsibility to lead the way. We want to set a benchmark because it’s the right thing to do.
This policy is an acknowledgement that members of the ZenAcademy team from time to time will possess information that could impact the price of ZenAcademy NFTs. This policy governs those times and we are publishing this policy publicly for transparency.
Importantly, it is just as important for us to avoid the appearance of impropriety as well as actual unethical behavior.
Every member of the ZenAcademy team, including our part-time moderators, may have visibility into ZenAcademy decisions and access to price sensitive information.
This policy applies to all ZenAcademy team members, their families, and any other entities which may be subject to their influence (e.g. DAOs). It also automatically covers individuals or entities to whom information is shared (i.e. don’t tip people off, duh).
Finally, this policy governs the trading of all ZenAcademy NFTs. Specifically, it governs the ZenAcademy Genesis token, the ZenAcademy 333 token, as well as any upcoming tokens that are released by ZenAcademy within our ecosystem including free airdrops, POAPs, etc.
For the purposes of this policy, all transfers (e.g. including the gifting of NFTs) are considered trades.
Trading on information which is market sensitive (e.g. knowledge of an upcoming announcement, knowledge of unrevealed NFT metadata) is always prohibited. If in doubt, you should consider your information to be market sensitive and discuss it with Zeneca.
Note: ZenAcademy abides by a “need to know” policy and will restrict market sensitive information wherever possible only to those team members who are working on the project.
There will be a trading blackout ahead of all material public announcements and events. The trading blackout begins once you are notified by Zeneca that a material announcement (e.g. a snapshot announcement) or event (e.g. a mint) is coming, and it finishes 24 hours after the announcement/event has taken place. Trading of ZenAcademy NFTs during blackout periods is always prohibited.
Team members who do not possess market sensitive information and are not in a trading blackout may trade ZenAcademy NFTs, but must first seek approval from Zeneca.
Once approved by Zeneca, approved purchases must be completed within 72 hours of receiving clearance. Approved sales must be listed within 72 hours of receiving clearance.
In exceptional circumstances, you may apply to Zeneca for permission to trade your tokens even when it would not ordinarily be allowed. This may be granted at Zeneca’s sole discretion, but as a matter of course, you should not expect to rely on your ZenAcademy holdings for emergency liquidity. Any special approvals will be publicly announced by Zeneca.
A few examples:
You buy a ZenAcademy Genesis token, knowing that ZenAcademy is considering doing a Profile Picture (PFP) project in the future.
This is okay, as long as you discuss it with Zeneca. ZenAcademy has publicly acknowledged the possibility of a PFP and you did not have additional market sensitive information.
Exception: If you are involved in the the PFP project discussions, you are likely in possession of market sensitive information.
Any team member found to be in breach of this policy is subject to immediate termination.

An initiative we started in 2021, modeled after the 12 days of Christmas. We commission art from 12 up-and-coming NFT artists and airdrop their work to everyone who holds a ZenAcademy/333 Token.
The goal and initiative here are to support up-and-coming artists by commissioning work from those who are struggling to get noticed and/or sell much of their art as NFTs, or are simply new to the space.
This is to support art, and support artists, and give our community some awesome art (trust me, the pieces are out of this world).
The commissioned art will be airdropped to everyone holding a ZenAcademy Genesis or 333 NFT.
Accompanying the airdrops, we'll include an artist profile with some details about their work, their story, and links which you can use to follow them. The goal is to use our platform to elevate great art and artists, especially those that are struggling.
Before you buy a ZenAcademy NFT, please read these Membership Terms and Conditions carefully. Do not buy a ZenAcademy NFT or join a non-NFT membership tier if you disagree with these T&Cs.
What if: You knew that we had had further undisclosed discussions? Knowledge of the existence of conversations is probably fine, as long as you weren’t part of those discussions, but you would still need to request approval from Zeneca.

This fund is designed to support up-and-coming artists and creators in the NFT space, and other crucial initiatives worldwide. It will be funded through a variety of funnels.
The first of those is from the proceeds from Zeneca's "How to Launch an NFT Project" course.
It's a paid course, but Zeneca is taking no revenue from it. 25% is being donated to support Ukraine and the remaining 75% is going into the fund.

6.5 ETH will be going towards the "" initiative in July 2022 (0.50 ETH for 13 up-and-coming artists).
We will be looking for future avenues to deploy this capital to help people in the NFT space and ways to bring revenue back to bolster the fund.
On 24th February, the news broke that Russia has invaded Ukraine in what is a full-scale invasion, a war of aggression. The least we can do is donate to support Ukraine.
Millions of innocent humans have been thrust into the throws of war against their will. This is certainly not the first time this has happened, and sadly, it will not be the last.

"Denizens of ZenAcademy" (“Denizens”) is the official name of our PFP collection.
Denizens are inhabitants of a particular place. In this case, our wonderful community of ZenAcademy residents.
The Denizens are a love letter to our community — a collection to represent the essence of our vibrant members and a testament to the unity and magic that binds us together.
The total maximum collection size for the PFP project will be 10,000, however it is very possible (likely) that not all 10,000 PFPs will ever be minted due to dormant wallets.
There are/were 7,848 ZenAcademy Genesis tokens and 333 of the 333 Club tokens. Most of these have been burned for ZenChests. 333 Club tokens can claim 3x ZenChests each. This brings the total collection size to 8,847 (7,848 + (3 * 333)).
The ZenAcademy Treasury wallet will then mint a further 1153 ZenChests, bringing the total PFP collection size to a maximum of 10,000. The mechanism for how the ZenAcademy Treasury will sell or distribute these tokens is TBD.
First and foremost, we will never conduct a stealth burn/mint. All links + announcements will be made on our main Twitter account as well as in our Discord #announcements channel.

To mint your PFP, you will need to sign two on-chain transactions.
The first is “SetApprovalForAll”, which allows your ZenChest token to be burned from the ZenChest contract.

The first transaction will require gas only.
Please note: you're giving us access to all of your ZenAcademy NFTs from this collection only. You are not giving us permission to access any other NFTs on any other contract. These transactions are safe and will not put your NFTs at risk.
Once the first transaction is complete and you initiate the second transaction, you will then be interacting with the Denizens of ZenAcademy Contract (“Contract Interaction”), which mints a new token to your wallet.

The second transaction will require gas and a ~US$1 HeyMint platform fee (0.0007 ETH).
For existing token holders, the journey to securing a ZenAcademy PFP will cost nothing (aside from gas). We want to reward our existing community. If you own a ZenAcademy Genesis token or 333 Club Token, your ZenChest claim(s) will be free + gas. Then, the burn/reveal from ZenChest to PFP for each token is also a free claim + 0.0007 ETH (~US$1 HeyMint platform fee) + gas.
Please keep in mind that when the Ethereum Network is congested and gas fees are high, it may be more expensive to burn/reveal your PFP. We recommend waiting until gas fees are lower before burning/revealing your PFP.
In the short-term, no. In the long-term, yes.
Currently, all unminted and minted NFTs are stored on a centralized server. This allows us to keep artwork from leaking before a token is minted.
Once the collection gets to 80% minted, we will then upload all artwork to IPFS and update the smart contract URI accordingly.
Don’t worry! Marketplaces sometimes take some time to refresh, but eventually your artwork will go through.
If you want to assist in speeding up the process, there is a “Refresh Metadata” option on your token page on OpenSea.
There are no current plans to close this burning windows, but that may change at some point in the future.
If it does, we will give our community plenty of advance notice.
We are trying to balance being able to generate some revenue via secondary sales (especially since we are making no money from this mint), and allowing our holders the freedom to interact on major marketplaces.
Given how quickly the landscape can change on this front, we will finalize details only shortly prior to the burn event and will update the community once we do.
We at ZenAcademy take ethical practices very seriously.
As a result, already a long time ago, we created an Ethical Trading Policy that discusses this point and prohibits or limits team members from trading immediately after the launch of our own collection.
We were the first NFT community to implement such a policy. Our Ethical Trading Policy can be found here.
Our approach to the PFP launch is to publicly share the rarity distribution at the launch.
The team will then be unable to buy or trade for 48 hours. After the 48 hours have elapsed, the team can buy/sell PFP tokens.
Our plan is that the PFP will provide you with the same utility as the ZenChest or the ZenAcademy Genesis Letter, which is access to act as a membership token to our community.
This will grant you access to various private Discord channels (depending on which token you have), free or discounted access to our educational courses, and other perks such as giveaways.
In addition, you will have access to events that we and community members are organizing both virtually and all over the world including weekly founders calls, private coaching, and IRL meetups
Artwork for ZenAcademy Genesis, 333 Passes, 333 Club Passes, and ZenChests are owned by ZenAcademy without a license.
However, artwork for PFPs is licensed to the token holders. In summary, this means you can use your artwork for commercial purposes.

If you hold the original ERC-1155 ZenAcademy Genesis token (Letter), you need to burn it first for a ZenChest on our website: https://zenacademy.com.
After you have your ZenChest, you can then burn/reveal your PFP. The steps are: ZenAcademy Genesis Token → ZenChest → PFP
Similarly to when you have a ZenAcademy Genesis Token, you must first burn your 333 Token (Letter) to obtain a new 333 Club Pass on our website: https://zenacademy.com
This new 333 Club Pass entitles you to claim three ZenChests. These ZenChests can be revealed/burned for your PFP.
Please note that your 333 Club Pass will not be burned during this process and the claim is free (except for gas).

Whether you have your original ERC-1155 ZenAcademy Genesis token (Letter), or choose to Upgrade to the ERC-721 ZenChest, or ultimately choose to burn your ZenChest in exchange for your PFP, your utility will be the same.
The 333 Club remains the most exclusive community within the ZenAcademy community, with access to private chat rooms within the ZenAcademy server.
With 333 members, there is an opportunity for closer networking amongst hundreds of peer founders, builders, creators, collectors, and professionals.
333 Club members have exclusive access to 1:1 meetings with Zeneca, have better odds of winning giveaways, and receive enhanced discounts and perks.

Currently, we do not intend to close the upgrade or burn of the ZenAcademy Genesis Token to the ZenChest or the upgrade/burn of the 333 token to the 333 Club Pass.
So don't feel obligated to upgrade or burn right now. 

However, we may decide to set a deadline for the upgrade or burn in the future.
If we do, there will be plenty of time for members to burn or upgrade and multiple announcements.

The utility of ZAG, ZenChests, and PFPs are identical. The utility of the 333 Token and 333 Club Pass is identical.
ZAG tokens were upgradable to ZenChests, and in so doing, wallets were airdropped “remnants” of their original letters.
333 tokens similarly were upgradable to 333 Club Passes. Each 333 Club pass is allowed to redeem 3x ZenChests.
ZenChests are burnable for PFPs.
Student IDs are our way of welcoming everyone into the ZenAcademy community.
Student IDs are free NFTs that can be claimed (minted) anytime on the ZenAcademy website.
The only payment required is gas (a couple of dollars), which is necessary to execute the transaction on the blockchain.
IDs will be Soulbound tokens. This means that the NFTs cannot be sold or transferred out of the wallet that minted.
There are a few reasons for this: we believe that once you’re a student of ZenAcademy, you’re always a student.
Also, because they are free and mintable forever, there’s no need for someone to buy a token - they can just mint themselves!
Mints are limited to 1 token per wallet.
You are welcome to mint from multiple wallets, however, you will most likely simply be wasting gas doing that. There is no benefit to having multiples - remember these cannot be sold or transferred.
In the future you will be able to link the wallet you minted from to any others you own and to personalize your ID with badges, your PFP, and more!
Student IDs will enroll the owner in ZenAcademy and provide access to most of the Discord server, where token-holders will be able to meet and chat with other Students. For more about the Student ID utility, .
Every wallet that has burnt a Genesis or 333 token will receive a free, airdropped, artifact of the original ZenAcademy letter in the form of an ERC721 NFT on Ethereum mainnet.
Tokens will be soulbound, meaning they cannot be transferred or sold. The intention is to keep Remnants as true collectibles (mementos), as opposed to a tradable or speculative commodity.
Remnants will be airdropped periodically, accounting for any new wallets that burn their letters but have not yet received a Remnant.
The Remnants live in this collection for Genesis tokens, and this collection for 333 tokens.
